Two martyrs and wounded in an occupation raid targeting a water station east of Gaza

The Israeli occupation army committed a new limited massacre today, Sunday, after a drone targeted a group of civilians in the Al-Samir area, located east of Gaza City. Civil defense sources confirmed that the missiles directly targeted citizens while they were in front of a drinking water filling station, leading to the immediate martyrdom of two people and varying injuries among those present at the scene.

In the same field context, medical sources at Al-Ma'madani Hospital reported the arrival of the bodies of the two martyrs, in addition to a number of wounded who required urgent surgical interventions. This raid comes as part of a series of targeting operations carried out by the occupation forces against civilian gatherings and vital facilities in the besieged areas of the Gaza Strip, exacerbating the already deteriorating humanitarian crisis.

As for the southern part of the Strip, the occupation forces continued their attacks on displacement shelters, where a Palestinian was shot by the army in the regional park area of Mawasi Rafah. Local sources explained that the shooting randomly targeted the tents of the displaced, while another Palestinian youth was injured by occupation bullets in the area east of Hamad City, north of Khan Yunis, and the injured were transferred to nearby medical points for treatment.

Al-Mawasi area, northwest of Rafah city, witnessed a remarkable field escalation, as field sources reported that Israeli military vehicles opened heavy machine gun fire towards tent gatherings housing thousands of displaced people. These attacks caused a state of extreme panic among women and children, amid the continued intensive hovering of drones in the skies of the area that the occupation claims are safe zones.

Regarding official statistics, Ministry of Health data indicate that violations of the ceasefire since last October have resulted in the martyrdom of more than a thousand Palestinians and the injury of thousands. Since the outbreak of the war of extermination on October 7, 2023, the total number of victims has risen to more than 73,000 martyrs and 173,000 wounded, with massive destruction affecting about 90% of facilities and infrastructure in all governorates of the Strip.
